In our church, Sam and I serve in the Primary each Sunday, teaching the four-year-old children. We had been promising our kids a class party for months, so last week we finally had them over to our house. We made them hot dogs and macaroni, and played games out on the lawn. It was so great to just play and be silly, and not have to hush them or try to guide their attention through a lesson. They are such great kids.

We had each of them plant seeds to take home in little pots. How do you take care of them? "Water and sunshine!" And, we let them each pick a squash or zucchini from the garden--our very first harvest! We sent them home with toys, candy, and chocolate chip cookies. They were bouncing off the walls by the time their parents picked them up.

I was just recently called to serve in the Relief Society Presidency, which means this party was a farewell of sorts. I am sure going to miss those kids' smiles each Sunday.
